Godwin Motorsports is a Nashville based racing team founded in 2022. The team finished 3rd overall in the Toyota GR Cup series in 2023. Godwin is slated to compete in 12 races in the 2024 season.

Godwin Motorsports was founded by Jamison Strain. Jamison’s love for racing was inspired by his uncle, Kenneth Godwin. Kenneth was a racing fanatic, whether in person or watching from home. In 2014, Kenneth suffered from a brain bleed and needed full-time care. Jamison and his mother, Sheryl, moved Kenneth from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Houston, Texas to give him the care and rehabilitation he required. In the fall of 2016, Kenneth Godwin passed away, but his legacy lives on through Godwin Motorsports.
